ABOUT THE TEAM:

The Finance Team sits at the center of the action and is responsible for analyzing trends in the business, forecasting and budgeting, and reporting key results and insights to the management team and ownership group. The Finance team is made up of individuals with meticulous attention to detail, a desire to make an impact, and the willingness to step in and solve the problem when one arises. As part of the day-to-day operations, the team works closely with our Accounting, R&D, Sales, Product Management, and IT teams to ensure that data is accurate and presented in the most concise fashion possible.

JOB SUMMARY:

This position’s primary focus is to be a key business partner to primarily support the R&D stakeholders - one of our biggest assets is our R&D talent. This role will ensure core financial processes are established, will provide reporting, analysis, insight, forecasting, and budgeting, and will support the existing and future games pipeline and R&D investments. The role is both strategic and operational. This person will work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders and will have a direct influence & impact on the financial outcome of the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Provide analytical support for month end process through detailed variance analysis and interaction with the Accounting group.
• Research and resolve business partnering inquiries for assigned functional areas.
• Routine communication with supervisors relating to financial close and ad-hoc reporting.
• Responsible for financial analysis and planning of the R&D division.
• Oversee the preparation of budgets, forecasts, long-range financial plans, measurements of operational performance, and other KPIs, including Head Count.
• Review and verify financial reports for strategic planning and deal analysis.
• Create financial models and perform analysis for business leaders and client strategy
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Modelling and analysis of assigned cost centers of their budget and forecasts. Ensure that outputs are linked to key drivers and ensure that all assumptions are visible and agreed.
• Responsible for monitoring, tracking and accurate reporting of any third-party studio cost and royalties.
